Real Challenges Our Kids & Families Face
The Programs
Mouse Nibbles
A weekly program that delivers non-perishable food to schools to feed “the hungriest of the hungry” students in Pinellas County. Kids receive a Mouse Nibbles bag every weekend in an unidentifiable bag, with additional bags for holiday and summer breaks.
Mouse Nibbles in Bulk
A subset of Mouse Nibbles where nonprofits and other organizations can pick up bulk boxes of food from our pantry to distribute.
Baby Mouse Nibbles
Provides donated baby formula and baby food to the youngest members of our community to ensure proper nutrition in their critical first year of life. With the average cost of infant formula at $36.49 per 30 ounce canister, a family will spend around $237 a month to feed just one baby. Unfortunately, many cannot meet this basic need, leaving infants at risk of going hungry. Baby Mouse Nibbles represents the mission to supply formula to chronically hungry babies in our community, supporting their development and preparing them for growth milestones.
Elks Mouse Calls
A pilot program in partnership with Florida Elks Children's Therapy Services where therapists discreetly distribute snacks provided by The Kind Mouse during therapy sessions for children from food-insecure households. This program ensures that children receiving free, in-home occupational therapy have full tummies, supporting successful therapy outcomes. We like to think of ourselves as Mice with Antlers.
